We do this by monitoring the health of our community, identifying and responding to public health crisis, providing timely and accurate information, enforcing laws that protect health and providing quality services to prevent and control disease.

Oklahoma Vital Records- McAlester Satellite Office services are offered Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm

Special Announcements
The Pittsburg County Health Department will be closed the following days in 2016: January 1 (New Year's Day; January 18 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day); February 15 (President's Day); May 30 (Memorial Day); July 4 (Independence Day); September 5 (Labor Day); November 11 (Veteran's Day); November 24-25 (Thanksgiving); and December 26-27 (Christmas). Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) has received confirmation that 12 Oklahoma residents have acquired Zika during international travel to countries experiencing local transmission of the virus. One of the 12 individuals is a pregnant woman.
